Dr. Robert Williamson
As a young teenager, I was very nearsighted, but I was too self-conscious to wear glasses. Eventually, I got contacts so I could finally see, but I had no idea what I was missing until I tried LASIK.

I started wearing glasses when I was 19. Working in the construction and farming industries, dirt made it impossible for me to try contacts. I thought I'd have to wear heavy glasses for the rest of my life and suffer through the glare and headaches that accompanies them. Then I heard about Dr. Williamson and was impressed by his professionalism. I finally elected to try LASIK in January of 2004. Immediately after the bandages were removed, I could see! Now I can see with much more clarity than I ever could before with glasses. LASIK made it easier to do my job.

I started wearing contacts when I was in college. They were always really uncomfortable, and I started to get lines around my eyes from tugging on them. Then a friend recommended LASIK from Dr. Bob at the Williamson Eye Institute. I figure I would have spent as much on glasses, contacts, and check-ups over the next five years, so investing in LASIK made sense. I was nervous when Dr. Bob started the procedure, but he talked me through it and all of the girls in the office were so friendly. Now I don't spend time looking for my glasses or fighting to get my contacts in each mourning. LASIK has been wonderful - I would recommend it to anyone thinking about it.

Dr. Gena Kidd
I started wearing glasses in the 4th grade. Then I went to contacts and several years later I started noticing problems with my eyes and I could not wear the contacts anymore. So it was back to glasses and I decided that I was fed up. That is when I decided to have LASIK Surgery with Dr. Gena Kidd at Williamson Eye Institute. Everyone was caring and involved in my care. Dr. Kidd and the staff gave the confidence to have LASIK. What a relief it is not to worry about my glasses anymore. It is nice to wake up and see the alarm clock without reaching for my glasses.

CK Patients
My vision was always good, but I noticed when I hit 40, that my reading vision began deteriorating. I couldn't read labels or the computer screen without glasses, and I would lose them often. I even tried bifocals, but it is difficult to find no-line bifocals with trendy frames. Dr. Bob at The Williamson Eye Institute said that CK was the answer to my problems. CK corrected my near vision while maintaining my distance vision. I haven't had to put glasses back on at all! And now, I can see my son's face clearly. I can read newspapers and labels, I can see the computer screen without any trouble. CK improved the quality of my life. It was the best money I've ever spent.

Lasik/CK Patient
In my career I planned and executed special events, hosting functions and interacting with people in a social setting. I frequently used a computer to create promotional materials for these events. Each aspect of my job required a different pair of glasses--one for the computer, reading, and distance vision. That's when I decided to try LASIK from The Williamson Eye Institute. After the procedure, I had 20/20 distance vision and only used glasses for reading. About four years later, through the normal aging process, I started to wear glasses more and more as my close-up vision worsened. Dr. Williamson introduced me to CK, which allowed me to gain back my near vision while keeping my good distant vision. Since then, I have truly free of all my glasses! I can read everything from small print to signs across a room. I would recommend the Williamson Eye Institute to anyone looking for better vision. Not only is Dr. Williamson extremely qualified and professional, but he is also very involved and caring. He treats everyone more like a friend than a patient. Also the entire staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. They want you to be well informed and make the best decisions regarding your vision.
